Institute for Helping Professionals
What is Caper Institute?
Caper Institute is the training arm of CaperSpring. Appointed by the International Society for Emotion Focused Therapy (ISEFT), we are the only institute authorised to organise, conduct and deliver education for mental health professionals and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) training in Singapore.
What is Emotion-Focused Therapy?
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), founded by Leslie Greenberg focuses on transforming emotions. Emotions help us evolve, survive, and thrive, as they’re connected to our most essential needs. They rapidly alert us to situations that impact our well-being and guide us to act on it. In a world where being emotional is thought of as unproductive, EFT proposes that emotions have an adaptive potential; if activated, they can help clients change.
Leslie Greenberg, Ph.D., developed EFT when he asked, “What makes people change in therapy?” This approach promotes awareness, regulation, and transformation of emotions as a path to health and well-being. It is also an evidence-based method for treating various living and interpersonal problems, dedicated to the scientific study of the process of human change in therapy.
If you’re interested in enhancing your emotional awareness and therapeutic skills, consider exploring EFT training in Singapore to deepen your understanding and practice of this transformative therapy.
Are you thinking of learning EFT?
As a mental health professional, you have many options in terms of modalities, schools, or approaches. When deciding what to specialise in, one key question is personal fit. Are you someone who is already comfortable with your emotions? Do you find yourself at a loss when dealing with a client’s emotions, or are you “excitable” when you make contact with another person’s emotions? If you’re uncertain, you might want to consider joining our workshops on EFT training in Singapore.
Our workshops provide a supportive environment to help you understand emotions better, explore your own emotional responses and develop your skills in Emotion-Focused Therapy. Discover how EFT can enhance your practice and transform your approach to client interactions.
