Zafer Djabri
Counselling Intern
Therapy Philosophy
Zaf has a deep belief that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. The journey towards healing often needs courage and perseverance. His role as your counsellor is to help you find what you need within yourself to navigate on that journey.
At the heart of his approach is building the safety and trust needed to be able to explore fully even the most painful thoughts and emotions. He takes a non-judgmental stance in every session, and aims to bring a calm and genuine presence.
Professional Education and Credentials
Zaf is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the School of Positive Psychology in Singapore. He trained in Emotion-Focused Therapy at the Caper Institute, and he is also trained in a number of other people-centered therapeutic approaches, including Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
Zaf is also a professional coach, and he holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). For several years, he’s worked with people to help them explore their inner worlds, so that they can unlock their full potential, and find clarity, purpose, and direction.
He is particularly familiar with the challenges of high-pressure workplace environments, and those faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Person Behind the Practice
Zaf is a lifelong learner with a strong curiosity to explore, and has a wide range of interests. He is fascinated by the intersection of the scientific and the spiritual, and likes making unexpected connections. He loves to explore new places without a map or a plan, and believes it is never too late to make a new start.
