Fang is a champion for happiness and strongly believes in the philosophy of “Treat Yo’self!”. She is a big fan of helping clients live life on their own terms through self-acceptance and self-actualisation.
Professional Education & Credentials
Fang has journeyed with clients through difficult situations such as depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss. She holds a therapeutic space to collaboratively explore existential crises, sexual trauma, relationship difficulties, interpersonal conflict, imposter syndrome, self-hatred and burnout amongst other specific challenges.
Fang holds a Masters degree in Counselling from Monash University, Australia. She is a registered counsellor under the Singapore Association of Counselling. She is an Emotion-Focused Therapy Level 2 and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy Level 1 practitioner. She also makes use of elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based practices.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, Fang has a decade of experience in human resources and account servicing across fast-paced industries like hospitality, advertising, publishing and events. This has equipped her with first-hand knowledge of the stressors and anxieties of such environments, having supported clients, colleagues and staff through similar issues.
As a Person
When not seeing clients or attending workshops, you can find Fang in a cocktail bar ignoring her cellphone or travelling without network reception. If you see her, come say hi! She’s not avoiding social contact (usually), she just prefers staying in the present moment to enjoy new experiences.
